Letter
of Appeal/Advice on Corona Virus Pandemic
Dear
Mr President,
The
aim of this letter is to advice you on certain issues that you can do
to help ordinary Nigerians to survive this period of Corona virus
pandemic. Your excellency, permit me to advice you on how to tackle
the hunger crisis that will befall Nigerians in due time if the
lockdown continues. The aim of introducing BVN was to identify
Nigerians within the Banking industries.
Since the outbreak
of the corona virus pandemic, many world leaders have shown
leadership skills by looking for a solution to ease the suffering of
their citizens. Some have taken some extreme measures to make sure
that their citizens are well protected and also not to have a serious
negative effects on their daily life during this world most dangerous
pandemic in the 21st century.
I know your
government have also taken some measures to
protect her citizens by locking down the country. But one thing I do
not understand is how your government wants to ease the hunger crisis
that the citizens will face during the period of this unexpected
lockdown in Lagos, Abuja and other parts of Nigeria.
I
have seen some news that shows cash disbursements
to the poor people in the Northern parts of the Country, and that
your government have disbursed so far the total sum of 3 billion to
poor Nigeria? But I have not seen any news about the cash
disbursement to other parts of the country. If i may ask, is the
South East/South South and Western region part of this cash
disbursement arrangement? And how do you determine who is poor and
who is not poor? There are people that drives cars, but they find it
difficult to fuel their car.
What I’m trying to
say is that let the government stop the discrimination of funds
disbursement. I was told that so far, the total money generated
through donations was 15 billions plus, why not add money to Make it 10 Trillion and give out 50,000 Naira
to 200 million Nigerians, which is less than 150 Dollars to all the
citizens through their BVN. America and other Countries are giving out something bigger than 150 dollars to its citizens.
By doing so, some
people that are really rich, might decides to return back the money
that was given to them. Then lockdown the country for one full month
and people will not feel the negative impact of the corona virus
pandemic on their daily life. And also, slash the cost of clearing
goods at the sea port within this period of Corona virus pandemic so
that importers can reduce the cost of products and make goods
affordable to the citizens. This is a period of sacrifice, let us
help each other and please, don’t discriminate on this sacrifices.
It is funny that a
country that have claimed to be the giant of Africa, does not know
the number of its citizens because of political manipulation. For how
long are we going to continue ridiculing ourselves in front of the
world. Sometimes, we need to put away sentiment and get things right.
The time has come, when the government should put a law that gives
jail term to any citizens without a national Identity cards and also
give banks and other institutions a directive to stop attending to
anyone without a national identity card.
Let
us use this opportunity to come together and get things done for the
first time. Let us put outside, who did that and who did not do that,
or who has failed and who did not and see this corona virus pandemic
as a way to fix this country. Oil is becoming worthless, countries
with oil reserves, have use the money during the oil boom to fix
their infrastructure, but Nigeria could not account for any tangible
things they have used the oil money to do, other than purchasing
luxuries items.
Thanking
you for your anticipated cooperation and I pray to God to bless and
protect you and also to give you the wisdoms, to continue to lead the
people without sentiments.
Yours
faithfully,
Mr

Awesome, I also think it's necessary to visit those in rural area as not all them have bank accounts as well.
