The streets were beautiful with a lot of hawkers selling bags and other kinds of stuff's to the tourist. Ooh you could buy a nice bag from the street hawker's at the rate of 20euro while in a shop, that bag cost 70 Euro. After a long walk trying to get to San Marco's Square, I was so exhausted because I had been walking for the past two hours trying to get to San Marco's Square. Finally when I got to the Square, it was so amazing and a lot of tourist from different nationalities were there taking pictures. I had to take a picture of the square, and after I had finished taking the picture of the beautiful square, I decide to look for a near by restaurant to take a lunch.
As I was sitting waiting for the Sea food that I requested. Came a Nigeria man by name John. He has been living in Venice since 5 years, and he also came to eat at the restaurant. In a short time, his phone rang, I could feel some smiles from his face and he was on phone smiling and giving someone a direction. Immediately came a lady he introduced as his wife Chika by her name. Ooh she was beautiful with a light skin, a typical of an African queen and she is 4 months pregnant.
John told me that he would want the baby to be a girl and if the babe happens to be a girl, that he will call her blessing. While on the other hand, the wife wanted the baby to be a boy saying that if the baby happens to be a boy, that she will call him John junior. To me all I could see is a happy family, John narrated to me how he mate Chika in Lagos and brought her to Europe because he loves her and Chika is just 4 months in Venice. I needed to use the toilet, as I was in the toilet. Something happened while I was in the toilet but I couldn't figure out what was happening or what went wrong between this happy family.
All I could hear from the toilet was a loud voice calling someone a bitch. I know that the voice wasn't a white dude voice. I ran out only to find John crying. I asked him what happened, he could not talk for some minutes so I decided to calm him down. After he later told me that his wife's phone rang and she didn't want to pick the calls and he asked her why didn't you want to answer your calls and she said forget about it. As the phone kept ringing, John sense something suspicious about the call and decided to grabbed the phone from her hand and answered the call only to hear a shouting male voice on her phone.
He calm the guy down on the phone and not up to 5 minutes, Chika slapped John and asked him why must he answer her calls. As they were quarrelling, Chika pulled out her wedding ring and hit it on him and said to him, it is over between them that she is going back to Nigeria. John then asked her what will happen to my baby, and Chika yelled back on him saying which baby, look at this fool, he thinks he is the father of the baby.
John was shocked and was frustrated and started crying and tears rolling down on him. He told me how he met and fall in love with her. He told me all the future plans he has for his wife. I then called his wife and started calming her down and later told her to apologise to John, she did as I said and later told John that she didn't mean what she just said that it was out of anger. And that John is the real father of her unborn child. If you were in John's shoes, what would you want him to do in this situation?
