 HOW  I LOVE  The ‘Evil’ Of Prophet T.B JOSHUA - Pastor Paul Enenche (DUNAMIS)

As we bury T.B Joshua today, we must not bury some of the Christ-like virtues that made him outstanding.

I kept thinking throughout the night – was this how Jesus came, performed miracles, fed the poor, healed the sick and did other good works, but the people despised, hated and killed him? I am not equating any man to Jesus, but T.B Joshua demonstrated more Christ-like virtues than many “God’s Chief Registrars,Chiefs of Staff to Jesus,Assistant God, Deputy God” parading our pulpits today as “masters of the universe”.

They told us how ‘evil’ he was, but were silent on his matrimonial success. He had just one wife and they were married for 31 years… This is Christ-like.

They told us how ‘evil’ he was, but were silent when he fed the poor, built hospitals and schools, responded to humanitarian needs on our streets… This is Christ-like.

They told us how ‘evil’ he was, but kept mute on his humility to board the same coastal bus with his team to go for outreaches. This is Christ-like because even Jesus Christ boarded the same boat with his disciples.

They told us how ‘evil’ he was but kept silent when he brought peace to South Sudan.He was a peacemaker. “Blessed are the Peacemakers…”. This is Chris-like.

Not until his death did I know his wife and even children because he never projected his family. His life and preachings projected Christ more than anything else.

He was Christ-like more than many of his critics whose followers know the “Man of God” than they know the God of men. Whose followers know their ‘father in the Lord’ than they know Christ.

People of the World, please show me one T.B Joshua’s enemy. The same people calling him fake have fellow brethren they call enemies. The same people calling him false prophet have fellow ‘genuine’ pastors that they are not in talking terms with. The same people calling him ‘evil’ have fellow Christians they wish death upon… Between these people and T.B Joshua, who is more like Christ?

If Prophet T.B Joshua was ‘evil’ and he healed the sick in the name of Jesus, fed the poor, built hospitals, schools and houses for the needy, brought peace to nations of the earth, then I like his kind of ‘evil.’

Open Letter to Chief Olusegun Matthew Okikiola Aremu Obasanjo, GCFR,

 Dear Sir,

Going by history, you happened to be a man with a lion heart. Let me compliment you (Chief Olusegun Mathew Okikiola Aremu Obasanjo, GCFR,) on your boldness to openly express your feelings  whenever things are not going normal in Nigeria. You are the only former present that often stepped out to confront issues that consign the country and I envy your bolderness a lot. Majority of your colleagues often develop cold feet when the country is moving in the wrong direction. As much as I will agree on so many things that you have said or done in the past, I will disagree with you on the issue you have raised in one of the newspapers “Today.ng” on the 5th of May 2021 and entitled: “Ex-President Obasanjo: If Nigeria breaks up, minority groups will be exterminated”. I have been trying to figure out what you mean by that or how you have come to that conclusion, yet I could not find any evidence of extermination on the above statement. 

   To me, I don't believe there is anything like a known minority ethnic nationality in Nigeria because all the ethnic nationality belongs to a particular geographical location or region. Let us decolonize ourselves from western clarifications of who is who or who belongs to who or where, or who we are while in their region, they use other words to define their people without dehumanizing their people. I lived and studied in Europe and It is very difficult to hear ethnic this or that in Europe when they are addressing issues consigning their people. 

 

I want to bring to your notice that the population of Iceland and other small countries in the western region is not up to the population of Lagos states. Why do we degrade ourselves in every ramification in life just to please the western colonists? Below are the populations of all the smallest countries in the world according to Google scholar and tell me which of these countries is bigger than those you called small ethnic nationality.

Luxembourg: 634,730, Montenegro: 621,873, Cape Verde: 563,198, Malta: 514,564, 

Brunei: 453,600, Belize: 419,199, Bahamas: 393,450, Iceland: 369,870, Barbados: 288,000

Abkhazia: 245,424, Samoa: 199,853, Antigua and Barbuda: 99,337, Seychelles: 98,963

Andora: 78,015, Monaco: 38,350, Palau: 17,957, Tuvalu: 10,679, Vatican City: 825. 

If the Vatican with the vast wealth stolen from the world through religious indoctrination and tithe/offering exploitation happens to be in Nigeria, the Vatican would not be an independent country and there would be killings and war threats to keep them down. 

Your generation put this country in where it is today, and it is very important for your generation to fix it in a way that it will favor everyone. 

I have proposed and I’m proposing a simple solution to the Nigeria problem, and it will take youths like me to fix it if given the opportunity. 

First step towards achieving the goals for a better Nigeria that we all want is to decolonize ourselves mentally and fiscally. 

Secondly, there must be a national conference with the provision in our constitution to back up the outcome of that conference.

Thirdly, there is a need to change the name of this country to give ourselves the name we should be proud to answer because Nigeria in the mind of suffering masses represents, Oppression, Police brutality, military/police extortion, exploitation, killing den. On the other hand, in the minds of the elites like you, Nigeria represents an indivisible United State that usher in opportunity, diversity, and a war/intimidation to keep the statu quo maintained. 

It is an insult for our generation to be answering a name given to us by some bunch of British evil colonists who came to milk us for their economic gains and are still milking us because your generation made it possible. If not, who born any British or American leaders to be making unguided utterances in a sovereign country like Nigeria?  

Around the world, the status of these evil colonists has been put down but it is so funny that Nigeria is standing with the oppressor to oppress its people. Our streets and cities were named by this evil colonist and we are happy to be answering what they called us. 

• I propose a United State of Africa as a new name for Nigeria. 

• I propose a capital punishment to end corruption 

• I propose a regionalism and a police reform where there will be a regional IGP’s instead of this one man squad in Abuja controlling everyone while doing nothing and security is deteriorating everyday. 

• I propose resource control and let states pay 20% taxes to the federal government to enable developmental competition and also for states to discover their potential and be independent. 

Now you have seen the solution to this country, so it is left for Nigeria to accept it or to continue to be a laughing matter in the world. 

Nigeria is on the verge of disintegration, and it is either we face the reality or the reality will face us. 

In conclusion, why do we need to fight each other when we can be united. Why do we want to go through another war when we can still have a round table talk to settle our differences. Even if there will be war, there will be still an option of dialogue for a ceasefire.

The lies of Gowon's No Victor, No Vanquished

In 1970, we were told it was a no victor no vanquished declaration. We put down our arms and left the trenches, with mixed feelings of excitement, nervousness and fear. We headed to the houses that we built, we were told they are ‘Abandoned Properties’, and have been shared as spoils of war.

With disappointment in our hearts, we headed to the banks, so we could withdraw our money and savings to salvage our lives, and we were handed only ‘20 pounds’ it doesn’t matter if you had millions or billions in your account.

With a deep sense of despair, homeless and penniless, we went straight to reclaim our jobs and positions, we were turned away, as they’ve been filled up with little or no skilled personnels. We were then homeless, penniless and jobless.

We were greeted with ‘Indigenisation Policy’ government companies and assets were sold to themselves, because we couldn’t afford to compete financially due to the ‘20 pounds’ policy.

We were still trying to figure out what was going on, and then there came the quota system policy, exclusive economic lists, federal character, ELDS states etc.

We were cornered from every angle. But like seeds, perhaps they didn’t know the dangers of burying us, we’ve germinated and have grown stronger and better, because we are Igbos.

We are the children of the Sun , we’ve risen again, yes we are IGBO . We don't DIE, we only MULTIPLY and we are coming back to take back what belongs to us by force. Its time for a round table talk to stop what is about to consume all of us.

It's time for justice, its time for equality, It's time for the issue of first class and second class citizen be abolished. It's time to negotiate our unity. It's time for us to come together and do the needful.

If we should have one Nigeria, then it is better to rename the name Nigeria to a United States of West Africa or United States of Africa. We don't want to answer a name given to us by our oppressors. We don't want to answer a name given to us by our exploiters. We are no more slaves and we have decolonized ourselves.

All Hail ESN, All Hail IPOB, All Hail Mazi NNAMDI KANU, for guiding the Igbo territory. Peace and Unity of the igbos we stand. Division we are against.

Dollars Depreciation, Who to Blame

 Yesterday one dollar rose to N495! I think this writer did a good job that we should all critically look into.

US Dollar vs NIG Naira: The Real Issues.

1. Appreciation and depreciation of currency is not related to race or color or who is the president be it Hausa Igbo or Yoruba. It is basically about production of goods and services and the demand of your products in the world market. A confused country that produces almost nothing will never meet up, policies only control your currency not the value of another countries currency against yours. 

2. A country where over 500 industries died within 30 years must be stupid to complain of depreciation of her currency. We keep killing local industries and expect policies to make it up, it's a joke sir. Don't use China as an example if depreciating currencies and strong economy, China produces and may attract more export with that strategy unlike Nigeria that produces nothing. 

3. A country where someone carried $2+billion simply to be shared is already a doomed one in terms of monetary policy and value. A country that produces Dizeani and Bafarawa who spent billion to appease demons. Those money without economic value is an economic poison injected into the system. 

4. A country that favours importation over local production is doomed because it creates employment for another country while sacking her own citizens. Some people are working in Michelin and Dunlop somewhere, yet we use the tyre here. Don't tell me principle of comparative advantage here, it's not applicable. 

5. A country that exports all raw materials without adding value is shameless to talk of depreciation of currency, to later re-import finished products of that materials is the peak of daftness. A bag of cocoa will go for like N1 million naira but when it is processed it will worth around N7million.  Even farmers who produced raw cocoa can't buy chocolate. 

6. A country that deliberately operate banking system that gives loans to importers at the expense of local industries is doomed and should say nothing about depreciation. Most of the loans are given to senators and representatives not industrialists. 

7. A country that give loans in billions to agric sector without monitoring & evaluation of such loan on how it gets to the real farmers is a sham. A guy collected over N2 billion agric loan, he bought a jeep, built a nice house and use the rest to import processed pork. Meanwhile, local pork farmers are dying here. Is that not a double tragedy, stressing forex at the same time killing local industries. 

8. A country that spend more on few privileged politicians at the cost of the populace who are unemployed should not talk about money depreciation. A country that keeps paying NNPC staff N10 billion as salaries every month when a single drop of petrol was not processed should shut up about depreciation of currency. Crime is rising as value added to the initial failure.

9. A country where it is difficult for investors to register businesses because of the governent officials demanding for bribe. Right from airport, to hotel, to minister to governors investors will bribe, all these are part of cost of investment. A friend brought investor on estate development just for the state commissioner in charge to demand 30% of the investment. To see the governor in a state will cost you N2 million as bribe before you can be scheduled. This is a state as poor as anything. 

10. A country where the cost of travelling for treatment abroad by officials will build world class hospitals should not talk about naira against dollar parity. Money taken to that trip is part of stress on forex. Same as forex spend on pilgrimage, let religion fanatics keep off me here. Without going to Mecca or Jerusalem you can still make heaven. You waste forex on pilgrimage to later be talking rubbish about forex.  

11. A country where few people have access to federal reserve and those few can get loans are not because of what they can produce but the connection they have, is that country not  gone already?

12. A country where we import what we produce because it's cheaper over there is gone. 

13. A country that has arable land, teaming idle youths and still complain of hunger should not talk about currency depreciation. It's annoying.

14. A country where free money flows can never control inflow and outflow of forex. Imagine someone who wants to hide his loot went to Aboki to buy dollars worth $50 million just to hide it in the basement of his house. That money has no economic value yet it deprived those companies that need it to import raw materials, those companies go to Aboki to buy at exorbitant price. 

15. A country where a strong bank owners can influence shares from within Stock Exchange room to inflate their shares worth from N20 to N150, crash the same share to N30 and ready to buy it back at N28 all within a year. Forget it, currency will never appreciate in such economy. 

16. A country where banks are involved in round tripping and inflated cost to siphon money is doomed.  A company wants to import caterpillar worths $50,000. A bank made the forex $550,000 meanwhile no caterpillar was imported at last yet the money faded into private accounts. Who strain forex in that case?

#EndSARS IS A METAPHOR

 #EndSARS IS A METAPHOR

Nigeria is on Fire! Why? Because the police that are supposed to protect the Citizens, are killing them. As that was not enough, the military went to Lekki Toll Gate to massacre innocent peaceful End Sars protesters. What is their crime? Just that they were asking for a good governance, a reform in police system and restructuring of the country to enable them to partake in governance and feel the Dividends of democracy.

#EndSars Massacre; A lot of conspiracy theories have emerged, all fingers are pointing on Buhari, and those that owns and manage the Toll Gate because Nigerians believes that, they ordered the shooting because of the revenue they were losing on the Toll Gate. Investigation are ongoing to know who ordered the massacre.

#EndSars we all are chanting!
But seeing so many lives lay lifeless, mostly the lives of my Peers (Nigerian Youths). One would ask a lot of questions. To make matters worst, during President Buhari's speech, he adds insults to the injuries by threatening the peaceful protesting youths, instead of showing remorse on those that have lost their lives during the massacre.

I know #EndSars is only a Metaphor.
A symbolism for total rejection of bad governance. Continued looting, unemployment, poor hospitals, rising Inequalities, poor education, rotten infrastructure, and massacres!

For far too long we've teetered between Hunger & Anger. Frustration & Oppression. Well the cup has now boiled over. We are fed up with decades of bad governance and deceits. We ask for a new page to be 'turned over'. Instead of the government to listen to the youths predicaments, massacre becomes the order of the day.

We want a Country where Leaders are listeners not looters. A page where there's Welfare for all. A page where the Ordinary person feels the Dividends of democracy. A new page where the West seizes to Offer a safe sanctuary for Nigerian looters! A page where justice is for all, A new page where the issue of first class and second class citizens or tribes does not exist.

Let's turn over that new page today!

Our flag is currently 'green, RED, green. There's no more life to waste! Our flag was green, WHITE, green. We want the flag back to normal! We ask for #EndSars!!!!

Now you all know, #EndSars is a Metaphor! So, I will like to appeal to the leaders to change their style of leadership. I will also appeal to the aggrieved youths to give peace a chance. Let's give the government six months grace to implement our demands. If by end of six months, the government refuses to reform the police and implement our demands, the youths should go back to the street with full force.

Wisdom for better policing in Nigeria.

Don’t get me twisted, I’m writing this article because my heart is pained based on what has been happening within the Nigeria police force. I will try to proffer a solution, even though, Nigeria is a country that refused to take advice due to government believes that youth can be bought with money so there is no need of listing to them. But when things has gotten out of hands, you will see the government running up and down..

In the other part of the world, Europe precisely. I have been living there for the past few years, and I have had several encounters with several police officers. Judging by the characters of their police officers, one will understand that what we have in Nigeria are bunch of untrained people claiming to be police force. Come thing of it, why should we call them Police force instead of Civil Police?

For example, If you are driving and see some Police officers on the road in Europe, one will become little afraid. While the revised is the case in Nigeria because when you see some Policemen on the road, what comes to your mind is 50 or 200 Nara bribe.

Nigerian police have turned the force into a begging institution. They applied emotional intimidation to collect money from Nigerians. And they are making huge amount of money everyday, which is not accounted to the federal government. Some people will attribute their action on the Politicians attitudes toward them and Nigeria.

You will see an Officer in service for the past 30 years without being able to own a House or a good Car or send his or her children to a better school. But, a Senator, House of Rep, even a Councillor will enter office and within 4 years, he or she has acquired more wealth that one will ask how? So this ongoing protest, after the Police brutality. We need to focus on governance, and Jumbo pay.

There are some accusations that the commissions are giving the junior officers some kind of targets to meet daily, and that was the reason the police officers have turned themselves to be a beggar on the road. And if you refused to give them, they might kill you and nothing will happen.

Nigeria police force have become a laughing matter in the eyes of the world, to the extent that CNN, made a mockery remarks about the Nigerian police force during the end SARS protest. And I quote “ There are two pandemic killing Nigerians, Coronavirus and End SARS Brutality “. The IG came up with SWAT, Hahaha this is like an old wine in an uncleaned bottle.

Police is civil, so why are they applying force on the people? It is time to remove Force and add civil, because when you named them police force, you have already mentally empowered them to apply force instead of civil.

SARS is a military force within the police institutions that specialises on robbery. So scribing them and redeploying them makes no sense because those bad eggs within them will still be killing Nigerians when redeployed. Rather, what we should have done is reforming the force by removing them from the street.

The best solution is to have something like a well equipped camp or station that they can only be out of the camp or station on an assignment. In Europe, military police officers only comes out when there is a serious crime or break down of laws. For example, when there is a football game, which they know there will be violence on the losing team. Or when there is a shout-out within the city and the civil police couldn’t handle them, then military police will be deployed.

But in Nigeria, the revise is the case because you will see the military, the customs, the police, FRSC, VIO, even the vigilante groups are on the road collecting bribes. In fact, between Ore-Benin is the worst area and they are there with Guns collecting bribes with impunity and nothing will happen because the government does not care about the citizens plight. It’s time to reform the police force to have a standard. It’s time to train the police officers to understand their responsibility.

They need to understand that their duty is to protect the citizens and not to brutalised the citizens to collect their money. On the government sides, it is time the government fund the Police institution very well. Equip, and finance the police force, increase their salaries and provide a better benefits and a strict punishment like death penalty or life imprisonment for anyone that defaults. By doing so, the police officers will be careful on discharging their duties. One thing is to make policy, another thing is to enforce them and this is what we are lacking in Nigeria.

For example, If an office knows that he or she has an opportunity to access a house loan, a car loan, or educational loans for their children or a free education for their children to university level. And will lose all these benefits with strict punishment when he or she has defaulted, there will be sanity within the police or the military forces in Nigeria.

I have had one on one interaction with some of the police on the street and they are complaining about poor financing. In fact, I met one policeman at the filling station in Festac, he came to buy fuel for his police van. The van was in a very bad condition, I asked him why these van is in a such condition. He confidently told me that the government does not provide funds to maintain their vans, that they do it by themselves from the money they are making from roads blocks.

It is time to remove the self interest within the police institution, by decentralising the police force. Let the state take care of their police within their region, then have a federal police force that can be deployed when state police are abusing their powers. They will step in to investigate state police actions.

Let there be regional IG’s and state commissioners, and each IG or Commissioner must come from that region that he or she is representing, and stop this one man squad we have in Abuja giving out orders. There will never be security when one man is in Abuja controlling the entire police force within the 36 states.

Imagine a crime has been committed in a state, the commissioner of the police have to first get an order or approval from the IG in Abuja before taking any action or investigating a crime. Who does that if not in a country of the jungles. Let the federal government provide a receipt for the police like in Europe, where an offense has been committed and the police officer in control will not delay or detain the person, if it is not a serious offense. Rather, they will give you a fine and issue you a ticket, which you have 14 days to pay or the fine will be accumulating interest.

Nigeria will be a better country under a restructured country. Let us restructure the country, let states manage whatever they have and pay certain percent to the federal. Everyone have been saying it but the powers in the center are reluctant to heed for the calling of the people for a better Nigeria.

Let us not wait until things have turned bad before taking an action because One day, monkey will go to the market, and will never return. The powers in the center should take the end SARS protest as a warning because there will be a time that Nigerians will rise up like they did on end SARS protest to demand for a better government.

Don’t forget that these people that are tormenting the citizens are the minority, flexing muscles on majority. If Nigerians will stop being a bunch of misplaced priority people and use the energy they have used in voting on that immorality BBnaija show to demand a better governance or the energy they have used in shouting I receive inside the churches and mosques, to demand a better governance, believe me you, Nigeria will be a better place to live.

Open letter to Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma.

Mr Hope Uzodinma,

Executive Governor of Imo State,

State House Owerri.

            

                                   

Your excellency  Sir,

The aim of this letter is not to question your competency, which I know you are a competent man but to make a humble suggestion because IMO indigenes have suffered enough from the previous bad government, and it is high time to make some amendments on certain things that has become a norm in our society. A man is not measured by the content of what he has, but by the content of his characters. A good leader is one who refuses to lead, while a bad leader is one  who is desperate to lead and at the end, he or she happens to be a corrupt person and he or she has nothing to offer in terms of good governance to the people.

In security study, there will be no peace in a society/country when an average citizens are living in an abject poverty. Poverty is a social construct, I watched one video cerculating on the social media, where a truck loaded with rice were being distributed in Lagos and the number of people fighting to get the rice is disgusting. I then asked myself, is the organizers indirectly spreading the Corona virus to the masses or stopping the Covid 19? 

Have you seen what greediness of some politicians has caused all of us? Politicians stole the money meant for taking care of the people and dumped them in some western bank thinking if there is crisis, they will fly out with their families and be safe. Corona virus has disappointed them and it is not too late to change our ways. The situation that we all have found ourselves was created by our selfish interest. The west have closed their boarders meaning that the stolen money kept in their bank cannot be returned back now. They are using the stolen money to take care of their citizens while our politicians watch their citizens dying in hunger. 

I know or guess that you are a man who has the interest of the Imo indigenes in his mind, that was why you were chosen to be IMO State governor, to show the people how governance needs to me. I must congratulate you for that and also congratulate you on your 100 days in office. I lived in Europe, I studied in Europe and I have toured the 27 states in Europe. One thing I love about this continent is their infrastructural revolution. As a graduate of international relations and diplomacy, I do know that there was a time the Europeans were in a mess like Nigeria. But through a collective effort, they became developed. We can be like Europe, if only we can remove some certain selfish interest and laws in our land, to develop our States.

 I want to propose something that will help my/our state to be developed like others. When you hear about development, people thought it is something that is very difficult to achieve, without knowing that it is very simple. The three important things that makes a state beautiful are good Roads, Electricity and water. Kindly make a law to strip away all the people that has owned a street in IMO State because street should be named after our heroes. An illiterate money missed road, that has not contributed anything to better the life of IMO citizens or to his people, should not be named a street after him. 

I think your office should make a law against this practices and also put a condition that before someone must own a street, the person must meet some requirements. The first requirement must be to interlock that street and do away with asphalt because it does not last long, and the gutters must be 6 fits deep covered, so that when it rains, the flood will not destroy the street. 

By making this law, within a twinkle of an eyes, all the street in IMO State will be interlocked because I know how egoistic our people are, that is why they have messed up the Chieftaincy titles in our land to the extent it is worthless now. With this law, it will remove some certain burdens that your government will face with roads construction. People will hip the praises on your government as part of your achievements in office. 

Remember that soon, oil will be worthless. That is why we are hearing about the 5G technology today. There are a lot of conspiracy theories about the 5G technology, but what those pushing the conspiracy theory forgot to understand is that those who have started these 5th revolution, will manipulate their way to achieve it because 5G is for artificial intelligence. As soon as the 5G has arrived, a lot of things that depends on oil, will be reduced. 

When this happens, how  will your government be able to build infrastructure and pay salaries with limited resources when Aso Rock have decided to reduce your monthly allocation which will happen soon. Now it’s the time to start planning ahead. 

Revive the postal services in IMO Sate, make a law that every communication between banks, government and the people must be through post. With this, you are creating jobs. Even Europe with their technologies, refused to kill the postal service. But Nigeria does because they are running to Abuja every month to share oil money. 

Let the Corona virus pandemic be a lesson to all of us for what is about to come in the future because something worst than Corona virus might happen soon. I know that Rochas Okorocha has his own challenges while he was in the Office, but he has vision so invite him and tap from his wisdom. Don’t follow the footsteps of Hon Emeka Ihediora, because his green cap has failed him. 

Instead of Hon Emeka Ihediora with his exposure to continue on what his predecessor has achieved, he went and be destroying what was built by his predecessor. Without knowing that what was important is not about who has built the infrastructure, rather who it was built for. People in politics, should know that in governance, what matters is to whom that was built for and not who has built it. 

The infrastructure he was destroying was built for the people, not for Rochas and his family. Equip and restructure the 27 hospitals that Rochas Okorocha has built. The hospital has been built, what left now is to create a system to run them. 

Health is wealth and It is better to be poor and healthy, than to be rich but sick. If possible, create an insurance scheme and issue a card to every citizens of IMO state, including residents so that, with this card, people can use the card in any of the 27 hospitals and get treatments. 

The question is how will you finance and maintain the hospitals, there will be a monthly payment to everyone that has been issued the insurance card or interested in the scheme so that every individual will have a computerised history. The value the money you have, depends on  what services it can provide. Money kept in a bank, has no values.

Coronavirus Pandemic in Nigeria/Africa, matters arising

This is what I think about the current situation in Nigeria/Africa👇

Two main pandemics at the moment we are fighting in Nigeria/Africa

1. Coronavirus

2. Hunger virus.

Two main group of people at the moment fighting the pandemics...... 

1.  The Rich and 

2. The poor.

The global irony and the African outlook...... 

The rich is afraid of the virus. 

The poor is afraid of hunger. 

The rich wants the poor to stay at home to avoid the spread, but hunger won't allow the poor to stay at home. 

The poor fears that if they stay at home,  the hunger virus will kill them. 

The rich fears that if they also come out of their homes the coronavirus will kill them....... 

What a delicate situation we have ......... 

Opinion: 

In other to restore the world or Nigeria to it's normal social equilibrium. 

The rich should assist the poor with food, so that they can stay at home. 

When the rich succeeds in keeping the poor at home by providing enough food. 

The spread of the coronavirus which the rich fears the most will be chased out!

This is common sense.....Yet because some people have the microphones, all you hear is ...... “stay at home”.......... “stay at home” . 

How can they stay at home when the hunger virus is at home.

Open Letter To Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State

                                             Open Letter to His Excellency Lagos State Governor

Dear sir,

 Let me begin by congratulating you for winning the election as the executive governor of the Lagos State. But the bigger compliment goes to your ability to set us a rapid rescue team for the Covid 19 pandemic without waiting for west world to come and help you like most African leaders does. It shows that the lagosians did not make a mistake by electing you.

Having said all that, the main aim of this open letter to you is to point out on certain abnormal things that has been going on the Okokomaiko-Iddo-Marina Blue rail Line, in Lagos for the past 12 years. Your predecessors started a mega project of building a Red/blue rail, which is commendable.

According to Wikipedia, “In April 2008, the Lagos State Government approved ₦ 70 billion for construction of the Okokomaiko-Iddo-Marina Line, with an estimated completion date of 2011. However, the project suffered many delays due to funding shortfalls. The opening date was revised to June 2013, then December 2016, then 2017. As of November 2016, only 16 km of the 27 km Blue Line had been completed”.

For your information sir, this rail line from Okokomaiko-Iddo-Marina Line, the construction has been going on for the past 12 years without bringing any income to the state government. Yearly, the state will complain on how to borrow money to finance the same project which is annoying and the delay is causing hardship to the citizen in your State.

Your excellency, this is not how to build such a project, in a society that solely depends on monthly allocation from Abuja and an import economy. Sir, when building such a mega project, first thing one needs to ask is how to finance the project without a debt burdens to the State. I’m not from your state, but I feel consigned seeing how people are suffering because of the delay on the project and also because each time I’m in Nigeria, I spent 70 percent of my days in Lagos.

Leaders should learn how to build to solve problems, and not how to build to get praises. What I’m seeing on this project is a political manipulation to use the project to stay in power. Without knowing that, finishing that project will also give the person, those things that they have wished for at the same time. Which are Praises, income, staying in power longer than anticipated and above all, solving the congestion problem that Lagos State are facing today. 

So the question is how do you build such project, and not feel the burden of over indebtedness it will cause to the State government? For example, If the cost of the 27 km was 70 billion Naira, all your predecesors need to do was to check the cost of the 10 km rail line, and  start with the first 10 km. When they have completed the first 10 km, next was to open it to the public. Let’s say from Marina to Iganmu is 10 km, let the first face terminates at Iganmu before starting the second face to give time to generate money from the first section of the rail line.

 Let’s say that 1,000 people are boarding from Marina to Iganmu every day and you are charging them 200 Naira per a passenger trips. You will be making 200,000 Naira a day, 6 million a month, 72 million a year. Give the period of 3 years to generate more money from the people that are using the rail and if possible, add little money to start the second face of another 10 km or use the money generated from the first face to start the second face, which will start from Iganmu and terminates at Mile 2. Then when the second face to Mile 2 is ready, you then open it to the public. The blue rail will then start from Marina and terminates at Mile 2. Marina to Mile 2 is the busiest place, which means the number of people using the rail line will increase and the amount of money it generates will also increase.

I have heard that you have banned Okada people from operating on this road? You don’t need to ban Okata or Moluwa that are operating on this road, they will ban themselves when no one needs their services. While the people are now boarding rail from Mile 2 to Marina, you will be generating more income and upon that creates more jobs. The third face will continue from Mile 2 and terminates at Trade Fair. And when it was time to open it to the public, people will now take a train from Marina to Trade fair. The fourth face will start from Trade Fair and terminates at Okokomaiko.

Your excellency, have you seen the amount of money Lagos State government is losing for the past 12 years that this projects has been going on? And the funny part of it all is that by the time you will commence operation in 2022, on this idle rail line, you will still need to borrow another money to maintain the rail line for durability. Allowing this mega project to be laying idle for the past 12 years, without generating any income shows that our brains are not working. We all have complained about lacks of Funds to complete the projects, at the same time, we have the funds to complete the projects at our disposal without knowing how to generate them. This is the difference between western world and Africa. Lagos sea port, Airport and rail system can build a world class city without looking for help from outside.

Transoprtion business is one of the lucrative business in the whole world, countries without natural resources, developed their country from the money generated from their transportation business and other technologies. Rail systems, reduces the burden our roads are facing because of heavy usage. It also open the society because everyone must not live in Island/Lekki.

If we have a good rail network, Apap congestion will disappear because all we need to do is to construct a rail from Apapa wharf to Trade Fair, and other big markets to reduce the number of trucks that ply on the roads. Someone can live in Ceme Boarder still be going to work in Island within 30 minutes, without having any stress from heavy traffic jams. We all have travelled to the Western world, but the funny part of it was that we only traveled there to enjoy without learning anything, without asking question.

In every human being, there are three important questions we should be asking ourselves. The What, Why, How questions, if anyone is able to apply these three structures in anything he/she wants to do, believe me, it will be perfectly done. I lived in Europe, studied there, and gained a lot of experience. I did not go there to look for only money and good life, but to gain a lot of experience which I’m giving some to you for free.

We should not surround ourselves with bunch of selfish people that reason from their anus instead of from their brains. I think it is time for us to start reasonably like humans, let’s use this opportunity the Corona virus has brought to us to unity ourselves and also look inward to found the ability on us, instead of looking outside. You don’t need the western world to develop your country because they have developed theirs without you, to show superiority.

China that every one are running to for help today was once isolated, segregated and even ridiculed from the rest of the world as they are doing to Nigeria and other African countries, before the Chinese people looked inward, to discover their ability and potential. Today, any country that avoid China is doing that at their own peril. The wealth of a man does not lay in the content of what he has but in the content of his character and his ability to discharge services to the people. When preparation mixed up with opportunities, it often result to success. And every job is a self portrait of the person who did it. Autograph your work with excellence. It is time to force/task our brains to start working, instead of allowing it to be idle waiting for when help will come from above.

Our Leaders failed because they were not prepared to govern. They see governance as a lucrative business, without knowing that people became rich by offering services to the people. Countries become wealthy by selling what they produce, and not by selling what they have. That is why Africa and Nigeria are poor because we are selling what we have and not what we produces. Thomas Sankra says “Imperialism often occurs in more subtle forms, a loan, food aid, blackmail . We have been blackmailed by the western world thinking that we cannot survive or do anything without their help, and we all have bought that idea which is a neocolonialism.
